Jiujiang General Hospital
The Sea of Clouds in Mountains concept informs clinical functions, roads and courtyards. Contributed as a medical planning team member to zoning, workflows and scheme coordination.
02Site and massing
A city road divides the site into eastern and western parts. Building volumes respond to functional hierarchy and surrounding connections. Varied heights echo the distant mountains, while corridors and courtyards form continuous public spaces.
03Masterplan and medical programme
Outpatient, emergency, inpatient and clinical-technical units establish clear connections. Public spaces and a central garden sit between functional volumes, addressing different entrance intensities and service needs to support scheme coordination.
04Gardens, corridors and facades
The central garden and platforms at different levels create shared spaces and landscaped courtyards. Circular corridors connect courtyards, functional units, patient routes and everyday social spaces. Buildings open towards the mountains; inpatient orientation considers daylight, ventilation and views. My work focused on medical functions and workflows, checked against the overall design.
Vertical openings, floor lines and shading establish facade rhythm. Sections and elevations explain construction and architectural expression as part of the team’s design development. My role concerned medical functions and workflow coordination; these facade drawings represent the project team’s work.
05Built spaces
Design drawings and photographs of built exterior and interior spaces present the project together.
